How to care for it

The lemon tree needs direct sun for many hours a day: from April to October keep it outdoors, and in winter shelter it below 3-4 °C, as it cannot tolerate frost. Water as soon as the surface of the substrate begins to dry, using water low in limescale, avoiding both soggy soil and prolonged drought, which causes flowers and tiny fruits to drop.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive exactly the lemon bonsai in the photo?

No. Wedding favours are prepared in batches, so the photo is indicative: it shows a representative specimen. The lemon tree bonsai you receive is of the same species and style, in the same white square pot 14x14x13 cm, with a height between 25 and 30 cm.

How much does this lemon bonsai cost?

The price is the one shown at the top of the page and includes the plant, the white ceramic square pot and the botanical care sheet. It falls within the range of bonsai up to 69 euros, also designed for multiple orders such as wedding favours or corporate gifts.

Can I keep it indoors after the ceremony?

Only for a few days, just for the duration of the event. The lemon is an outdoor plant: indoors it loses vigour, produces leggy branches and struggles to flower. After the ceremony it should be moved to a sunny balcony or terrace, with a sheltered spot during the cold months.
