How to care for it

Spruce thrives outdoors all year round, in a bright position sheltered from the direct sun of July and August, and it tolerates winter cold as long as the roots do not freeze in the pot. The substrate should be kept consistently moist without waterlogging: check daily in summer and every three or four days in winter, preferably using low-lime water.

A: No. As this is a wedding favour produced in series, the photo shows a representative specimen of the same variety. All items are of the same species and come in the same 20 cm diameter bowl, but each individual plant may differ slightly in canopy density and branch arrangement.

Q: Can I keep it indoors after the ceremony?

A: Spruce is an outdoor conifer and suffers from the dry air of radiators indoors. It can stay inside for a few days, in a cool, bright room, and should then be moved to a balcony, terrace or garden, where it keeps its colour and vigour.

Q: How much space does it take up on the display table?
