How to care for it

Place it in front of a bright window, avoiding direct sun through the glass during the hottest hours in summer, and keep the temperature above 14 °C in the cold months. Water when the surface of the substrate starts to dry out: in a heated home this may be every 2-3 days, far less in winter. With a canopy of this density we recommend misting the leaves regularly.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive exactly the plant in the photograph?

Yes, it is a one-of-a-kind specimen and the photo shows the plant that will be shipped. As it is a living plant, the foliage may look different due to natural growth, pruning, pinching or seasonal changes: trunk, nebari and canopy structure remain those of the photographed specimen.

How much space does it take up and how much does it weigh?

The plant is 44 cm tall and the hexagonal pot is 33 cm in diameter, with the canopy extending beyond the rim. The total weight, plant and pot together, is 5.4 kg: a stable surface such as a console or low cabinet is recommended.

Is the pot included in the price?

Yes. The bonsai arrives already planted in the ivory glazed stoneware hexagonal pot measuring 33 x 8.5 cm shown in the photo, with substrate and a top layer of granulate. No immediate repotting is needed: the next operation should be considered a few years from now, in spring.
