How to care for it
Cercis lives outdoors all year round and flowering depends on sunlight: a bright position from February onwards is the decisive condition for getting blooms on the bare branches. With such a shallow pot, just 11 cm deep, the substrate dries out quickly: in summer you need to check the moisture every day and water thoroughly, reducing in winter when the plant is dormant.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a forest planting of this size weigh and how is it shipped?
Plant, pot and substrate together weigh 60 kg, with a pot measuring 116 x 66 cm. Shipping is carried out with reinforced packaging designed to secure the pot and protect the branching. Due to the size and weight, pallet delivery is required, with kerbside unloading.
Is the plant I receive the one in the photo?
Yes, it is a one-of-a-kind specimen and the photo shows the exact tree that will be shipped. As it is a living plant, the foliage may look different from the picture: pruning, pinching and seasonal changes alter the appearance of branches, leaves and flowering throughout the year.
Can it be kept indoors?
No. The Judas tree is a Mediterranean deciduous species that needs winter cold in order to flower regularly in spring. It should be placed in the garden, on a terrace or balcony, all year round. Also consider the footprint: the pot takes up over a metre in width and requires a solid support.
