It collects the water draining from the holes of the 85 cm smooth Fenice cube, so floors, decking or indoor surfaces stay unmarked. How to use it

Place it on a flat surface and set the cube on top, centred on the raised section. At least two people are needed, better three, if the pot is already full of compost: the resin holds up well, but the weight of a wet substrate in a cube 85 cm wide is considerable. Decide on the final position before filling it, because a container of this size is not easily moved.

After each watering, check the level of collected water: with such a wide collecting surface the volume can build up quickly. In summer, with frequent watering, it is worth emptying the tray every two or three days, especially if the pot stands in full sun: standing water warms up and becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes and algae. In winter, outdoors, keep it empty so ice does not push against the walls.

Does it also fit other 85 cm square pots?

No. The mould follows the base of the smooth Fenice cube 85 cm (SKU CUBOFENICE85), including the raised centre into which the pot locks. On a square container from another range, even with the same external size, it would not sit steadily and the rim might not line up.

Can I leave water in the bottom to raise humidity?

A thin film in the perimeter channel raises humidity around the pot without wetting the roots, because the raised centre keeps the base of the cube away from the water. Avoid keeping it full for days, though: in such a capacious tray prolonged stagnation encourages root rot and mosquito larvae during the warm months.

Is the resin frost and sun resistant?

Yes, it is designed to stay outdoors all year round together with the pot of the same range. Two tips: empty it before frosts, so water does not freeze inside the channel, and in summer avoid dragging it when loaded across rough paving, which scratches the surface.
