Bonsai knob cutter with spherical cut in satin steel 180 mm

What it is for

The knob cutter bites deep into the wood, leaving a round hollow where the stub used to be. It is the tool for permanently removing a branch growing straight off the trunk: the scooped cut lets the callus close from the inside, without those unsightly swellings that remain for years when you cut flush with shears. Once healed, the trunk is smooth again.

It is also used to reduce stubs left by previous pruning.
