The plant alone is about 40 cm tall.

The Beni Maiko variety, which means "red-haired dancing girl", has red foliage in spring (very similar to the Deshojo) which then fades to pink and changes to green during the summer, and finishes in red-orange colors in the fall.

The pre-bonsai Maple is the plant par excellence that represents Japan, thanks to its colors that change during the year and its delicate foliage it is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most elegant plants.
