Pre-bonsai of Bosnian Pine "Compact Gem" (Pinus Heldreichii var. Compact Gem), in a round cultivation pot.
Vase dimensions: diam. 18 x h. 15.5 cm.
The plant alone is about 35 cm tall.
The pre-bonsai of the Bosnian Pine, originates from the mountainous areas of south-eastern Europe and is in fact widely used in Japan for the cultivation of bonsai.
A curiosity is its name also called "snakeskin pine" (snake skin) as the bark resembles the skin of a snake.
The Compact Gem variety was introduced by an English nursery, and is a compact needle variety, as the word itself indicates, which makes it a very interesting variety for bonsai work.
This pre-bonsai allows you to already have a good starting point for growing a pine tree, thanks to branches that are sufficiently developed but still flexible enough to be wired and curved as you like.
The prebonsai or yamadori is the ideal plant for true amateurs, for those who want to work, transform and cultivate a plant until it becomes a true bonsai.
Each pre-bonsai is a unique piece with unique characteristics and may already have some work steps completed such as repotting, or the first wiring or even just pruning, but has never moved on to the finished bonsai phase.
If you want a bonsai already set up, you just have to look at the section MEDITERRANEAN BONSAI OR JAPANESE
The photo truly and faithfully reflects the plant that will be purchased and shipped.
At the time of purchase, the bonsai may vary in vegetation compared to the photo, as it is subject to maintenance work such as pruning or pinching, and to natural seasonal changes.
Each pre bonsai or yamadori sold by Pollice Verde is a healthy plant and guaranteed to root.
