Presentation

Juniperus phoenicea yamadori, 58 cm tall, with a 4.5 cm nebari and a straight trunk marked by a vein of pale wood. The chosen styling is close to bunjin, with light branches cascading downwards. Estimated age about 30 years. Raw material for those who like to work the wood and wiring themselves.

How to care for it

Keep it outdoors all year round, in full sun: in the shade the scales stretch out and the foliage opens up. Water when the substrate dries on the surface, at short intervals from June to August and far less often in the cold months, since juniper suffers from waterlogging far more than from drought. As a collected plant, it still holds some natural soil: repotting will be needed in the future.
