How to care for it
The Chinotto wants direct sun all year round and a substrate that stays slightly moist: from June to August watering is almost always daily, while in winter it drops to once every 4-6 days, checking the soil. With fruit on the plant we recommend never letting the pot dry out completely, as water stress causes fruit drop.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Is the fruit the same as in the photo?
A: The photo shows this exact specimen. As it is a living plant, at the time of dispatch fruit and foliage may look different: chinotto fruits ripen turning from green to orange and in the meantime the plant may have undergone maintenance pruning or pinching.
Q: Can I keep it indoors?
A: No, it is an outdoor plant. It should be placed in full sun on a balcony, terrace or in the garden, and moved to a bright, cool room only during winter frosts. Indoors, with dry air and little light, it loses leaves and fruit within a few weeks.
Q: How much does it weigh and how much space does it take up?
A: The total weight with pot and substrate is 3.2 kg. The cloud pot measures 26 x 20 cm with a height of 8.5 cm, while the plant alone reaches 41 cm: you therefore need a shelf about 30 cm deep with at least 50 cm of free height.
