The trunk rises at a slant, with a sharp curve at the base and an 11 cm nebari, while the canopy develops on two levels with a very extended right-hand side branch. How to care for it

The Aleppo pine wants direct sun all year round and a substrate that dries out quickly: water only when the surface is dry, with frequent watering from June to August and very occasional watering in winter. Waterlogging in the pot is the main risk with this species, more so than cold: we recommend keeping it raised off the ground, in a well-ventilated spot, never with a drip tray full of water.

Yes, it is a one-of-a-kind specimen and the photo shows the very plant that will be sent. As it is a living plant, the foliage may look different from the picture due to natural growth, pruning, pinching or the change of season: trunk, nebari and branch structure, however, remain exactly as shown.

How much space and weight should I allow for?

The oval pot measures 54 x 41 cm with a height of 12.5 cm and the whole piece weighs 30 kg, so a solid, stable outdoor bench or table is needed. Also bear in mind the spread of the canopy, which extends sideways beyond the rim of the pot on the right.

Can I keep this Aleppo pine indoors?

No. It is a Mediterranean conifer that must always be grown outdoors, on a terrace, balcony or in the garden, including through the cold months. Indoors, the lack of direct light and the dry air lead to yellowing and needle drop within a few weeks.
