The Hazelnut Corylus  \'Red Majestic\' is a recent variety, very elegant thanks to its purple-red leaves, introduced by the English nursery Notcuts at the Chelsea Flowers Show in 2003, where it was so successful that it made the front pages of English magazines specialising in the sector.

Hazelnuts are suckering plants, so prune them every time they grow.
