ORIGIN:

Native to China and Japan, it is characterized by rather small, three-lobed leaves, which is why it is also called trifid. It is certainly the most used maple as a bonsai, both for its extreme adaptability and for the tendency to develop a considerable base of the trunk.

PRUNING:

The pruning of the roots must be done at the same time as the repotting which is ideal to do before the plant opens the buds in spring; the trident maple also lends itself to very drastic root pruning, thanks to its rapid development.

STAPLING:
