Climbing plant native to Japan, with a twisted trunk in a right-handed direction. It has imparipinnate leaves, composed of 13-19 oval-shaped, deciduous leaves, flowers gathered in pendulous, perfumed, blue-purplish racemes, fruits with tomentose pods.
Set up the roots when repotting, always leaving a good root system. Shorten shoots in late spring after flowering.
It is a plant that requires abundant watering. During the hottest season it is advisable to keep the plant in a saucer so that the roots can absorb a sufficient amount of water during the day.
Do not fertilize newly repotted plants for at least 2-3 months. Once every 15 days from spring to flowering, then once a month until autumn.
Plant that loves sunny exposures, generally does not fear the cold.
Place trunk and branches with bindings from spring to summer.
