Il Leccio belongs to the Querce family spread throughout the Mediterranean basin from the coastal areas up to about 700 meters. The leaves are dark green, leathery with a toothed edge, and their fruit is acorns that will very rarely be seen on a bonsai.
Shorten the taproot gradually at each repotting, always trying to leave a good part of the root system formed by the capillaries; in the case of drastic transplants, defoliate the plant to avoid high transpiration. In winter it will be possible to carry out more drastic pruning and at other times of the year to shorten the new hunts to 2/3 internodes.
It is a plant that tolerates drought very well, but it does not mean watering it very little, the watering must be regulated by almost every day. in the summer to almost nothing in the winter. In any case, let the soil dry well between one watering and the other.
